People in my neighborhood now are so scared of their own shadow that I can't go jogging anymore. The only safe place I can do this is within campus. During my internship, people get to see my steady transformation into Jabba the Hutt.

"The Executive Cut"

A big-shot lady goes into a very posh hair saloon greeted by a flamboyant hairstylist named "Manja". So Manja asks what style she wants, then she says, "Manja, I want an executive look. Give me the Executive look"
Puzzled, Manja tried all styles: lates styles from Paris, latest styles from milan, latest from New York, Tokyo, The 80's, .... but the lady is not please.

with a stroke of serendipity, Manja saw a nice lady with a classic [malay/local] hairstyle and did that. The Madame is Pleased.

In a nutshell: He thinks that all those styles out there are the best, but local is the way to go.

For the record, Manja exists. He's been my mum's hairdresser for 20 years. And "the Executive Look" DO exist. I saw one just now, during dinner, in the dining room.

FYP Commences!

Finally I get to access my blog account. Everytime I click Sign In, it redirect me back to the Sign Up page. It says I gotta sign in with my Google account. I did. It's the wrong account. E-mail Help. Counter-email, blah blah. Finally got i right.

I got the green light for my Final Year Project (FYP), thank God! I gotta get everything in focus now. I have calculated that if I keep at it at my current speed, it's going to take me about 17 weeks to do the animation. Just the animation! (not editing, voice recording; nada!) So, this forces me to seriously reconsider how am I going to go about this thing. 3D? 2D? Both have it's charm. It's so sad every time I see people say "2D is dead" or "3D has no art/life/soul in it" etc. It's like pitching these two techniques in a cockfight, trying to prove that one or another is the ultimate tool in Animation. I'd like to see it this way: 2D and 3D are both good tools in Animation, among other tools (stop-motion, paper cut-outs, sand animation --hey, did you guys forget about these?) in the Library where we get to pick and choose whenever we find it suitable. So we should stop antagonizing each other (2D, 3D, stop-mo; whatever) and be friends (queue Why Can't We Be Friends by War)

4 Eps Avatar Was Shown. Locals Prepare for the Apocalypse

Omigod! Nickelodeon's hit TV series Avatar: The Last Airbender was shown four new episodes last week! This news has reduced me to a rabid, frothing creature. Awed by this massive Avatar overload!
